These Volunteer Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) govern the relationship between the volunteer (“Volunteer”) and [Raleigh Retro Gamers LLC] (“Organizer”) for the volunteer participation in the gaming event (“Event”). By participating as a volunteer, the Volunteer agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth below:
Volunteer Role and Responsibilities: a. The Volunteer agrees to perform assigned tasks and duties as instructed by the Organizer during the Event. b. The Volunteer will act in a professional and respectful manner towards other volunteers, attendees, participants, and the Event staff. c. The Volunteer understands and acknowledges that the nature of the tasks may vary and may involve physical activities or exposure to loud noises, lights, and crowded areas.
Volunteer Commitment: a. The Volunteer agrees to be punctual and fulfill the agreed-upon schedule for volunteering during the Event. b. The Volunteer will notify the Organizer promptly if unable to fulfill their commitment, providing reasonable notice in advance.
Confidentiality and Data Protection: a. The Volunteer agrees to maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive information or trade secrets disclosed by the Organizer during the Event. b. The Volunteer agrees not to disclose or share any personal data collected during the Event without proper authorization from the Organizer.
Safety and Code of Conduct: a. The Volunteer will adhere to all safety guidelines, rules, and regulations provided by the Organizer, including any health and safety protocols. b. The Volunteer will behave in a respectful and appropriate manner, refraining from engaging in any form of harassment, discrimination, or illegal activities.
Liability and Insurance: a. The Volunteer understands and acknowledges that they participate in the Event voluntarily and at their own risk. b. The Organizer shall not be held liable for any injuries, damages, or losses sustained by the Volunteer during their participation in the Event, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Termination: a. The Organizer reserves the right to terminate the Volunteer’s participation in the Event at any time, with or without cause, at the sole discretion of the Organizer.
Agreement and Amendments: a. This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Volunteer and the Organizer regarding their participation in the Event, superseding any prior agreements or understandings. b. Any amendments or modifications to this Agreement shall be made in writing and signed by both parties.
Compensation: The volunteer is not entitled to any form of compensation unless otherwise stated in writing once the volunteer as been accepted for the Event. Each event has its on budget and not all events offer compensation. However, some events may have compensation in the form of gift cards, RRG swag, etc. Those details will be disclosed to you before you’re accepted as a volunteer.
Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer.
By volunteering at the Event, the Volunteer acknowledges having read, understood and agreed to abide by these Volunteer Terms and Conditions.
